Terms & Conditions

By accessing our website, placing an order, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our products or services.

SME Generators reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

We sell, install, and service diesel generators, petrol generators, spare parts, and lubricants. All product specifications, KVA ratings, and brand availability are subject to change without notice and depend on manufacturer supply.

AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts), breakdown support, installation, and load-testing services are subject to separate service agreements which incorporate these terms by reference.

All orders are subject to availability and confirmation. Prices quoted are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated and are exclusive of GST unless explicitly mentioned.

SME Generators reserves the right to cancel orders where payment is not received within the agreed period. Advance payments are non-refundable once manufacturing or procurement has commenced.

Delivery timelines are estimates only and may vary due to logistics, manufacturer lead times, or site readiness. Risk of loss passes to the buyer upon delivery to the specified site.

Installation is subject to the site meeting our standard infrastructure requirements (earthing, acoustic enclosure clearances, fuel provision, etc.). SME Generators is not liable for delays or additional costs arising from an unprepared site.

Generator sets carry the manufacturer's standard warranty (typically 12–24 months from date of commissioning). Warranty is void if the unit is tampered with, operated outside rated parameters, or serviced by unauthorised personnel.

Spare parts and accessories carry a 90-day defect warranty. Consumables (filters, oils, batteries) are non-returnable. Returns must be authorised in writing within 7 days of delivery and goods must be unused and in original packaging.

AMC contracts are valid for the period stated in the agreement and cover scheduled preventive maintenance visits as specified. Emergency breakdown calls, parts replacement, and travel beyond the service zone may incur additional charges.

Either party may terminate an AMC with 30 days' written notice. Refunds for unused AMC periods will be prorated minus any services already rendered.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SME Generators' total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages including loss of profit or business interruption.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra.
